Last day of school!

Today was our last day of school. As you can clearly see, we are not having summer like weather. I took at picture of the school parking lot today. It pretty much snowed all day. I can't believe that on the 10th of June it is snowing. It's very cold out and it's supposed to stay that way for a few days. It's crazy.

I also can't believe that I now have a third and a second grader. Time sure does fly. The girls are very excited to be on "summer" vacation. We don't have any real big plans for the summer. We will be in Polson next week while Isabelle goes to a camp for theatre. Our little actress. She has two of those camps this summer. Olivia didn't want to do any camps. The only other thing we really have planned is swimming lessons and then we'll pretty much just have fun and play all summer long.

I included a couple of pictures. The top picture is of the girls on their first day of school and the bottom one is today, their last day of school. They sure do grow and change a lot during the school year. Both girls are growing their hair out. They don't think it grows very fast until I show them a picture from before.

I hope all is well and everyone enjoys their summer.

Couple of cuties

The girls went to a princess birthday party last night. They got all dressed up and looked so adorable. They of course had a blast at the party and didn't want to leave.

Isabelle's book

I am so proud of Isabelle. She is reading a book called The Candy Shop War.

The author, Brandon Mull came to all the schools here and spoke. Isabelle got this book signed by him and she is really enjoying it. I am so impressed because it's a huge book and it's got over 400 pages.

She loves to read and I'm so glad. I know I wouldn't have read like that at her age. To be 8 years old and reading a book like this is impressive. I know proud mom bragging, but it's my blog and I can do that...

A great family trip

Last weekend we were able to get away for a few days with Jason's family. We met with Jason's brother from Seattle and his parents at little resort just outside of Moses Lake, Washington. It was really a lot of fun and although the weather was a bit chilly, it didn't rain so we were thankful for that. We left Wednesday and stayed with our good friends, Cathy and Terry (who also happen to be Olivia's Godparents) in Spokane. We had a great time with them and Cathy took us on a great walk. The girls fell in love with their little dog Cocoa. We met up with the family on Thursday and had a very relaxing weekend. We golfed, walked, played games and played miniature golf. We mostly just hung out and got to spend time together, which was especially nice since we don't get to see Jason's brother and family very often. It's always fun watching the girls play with their cousins. We headed back home on Sunday and got back into the swing of things.

Life is busy of course, but we had a beautiful day today and are loving these days. We especially appreciate the nice sunny days since we once again had some snow last week. It doesn't feel like it's every going to warm up and be summer.

We are in the final stretch of school days and are very excited for summer to get here. Isabelle is going to participate in some theatre summer camps, we'll have swimming lessons, and lot's of other things that come our way this summer. I can't believe how fast our calendar is already filling up.

Well hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Our little baseball player

Olivia is trying baseball this year and she's doing great. The coach pitches the ball to them and they get three tries to hit it. If they miss then they bring out the tee. She's doing awesome and has only had to use the tee once. I think she'll be a natural. She's got a great arm.
