No front teeth

Well, Olivia lost her last front tooth in the middle of the night last night. She was so scared she was going to lose it in the night and choke on it. I told her she wouldn't, but she wanted to pray about it. So, we prayed that it wouldn't happen and she woke up in the night with it in her mouth. She was very thankful and so was I because frankly that thing was so loose breathing through her mouth could've caused it to fall out. She could almost twist it completely around with her tongue. I have to say she looks so cute without any front teeth.

Quote for Saturday, February 2, 2008

Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation. Brian Tracy

Quotes

I love quotes, so I've decided to randomly put some quotes in my blog. I'll add them according to my life at the time or if I just happen to like it. This one really applies to my life right at the moment.

I'm putting a label on each entry with a quote in it. You can click on the label selection on the right side and it will give you all my entries with any quotes in them.

Today's quote:

Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage. The human spirit is to grow strong by conflict. William Ellery Channing

My camera crazy daughter

Everytime I take my memory card to load my pictures on my computer, Olivia has found my camera and taken a ton of pictures. You never know what you are going to get. Sometimes it's pictures of the doors, the tv, her lips, her teeth, or just about anything you can think of. She mostly loves taking pictures of herself. I spend most of my time deleting her pictures off of my camera. I did start a folder of for the ones that tickle my fancy though and I look at them when I need a laugh. These are just a couple of the many pictures that she has taken.

Yeah!

We finally woke up to a big bunch of snow. We've had a bit of snow here and there, but nothing big. We got about 6-7 inches last night. The girls had fun playing in it this morning while Jason and I shoveled the driveway.

Finally

I have been reminded that it doesn't do me much good to start and blog and never post on it. I can't believe that I created this in October and haven't done a thing since then. Where does the time go?

I know a gal who has a blog and I enjoy hers so much. She posts on it all the time and puts random things on it and I find it so entertaining. Maybe someday I can do that.

We have been busy as usual. My goal for the year is to slow down and achieve a more simple life. I hope I can reach that goal. In fact I told Jason and the girls that I think we should get rid of our cable and not turn on the tv anymore (at least for the most part). Isabelle freaked and worried about Hannah Montana and the Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Olivia loved the idea and Jason said just not this Sunday (something about a football game). We didn't turn it on at all tonight and it was so nice. I never have silence, I always have at least the radio on and we didn't have anything but the silence tonight. I'm trying to embrace the quiet and it really was nice. The girls and I visited and really enjoyed ourselves. The girls are even playing together and not fighting. I could get used to this.

The girls are doing well. Today I went with Isabelle's class to Big Mountain and went snowshoeing. We then rode the ski lift up the mountain had lunch and came back down. It was a lot of fun. I did the exact same thing with Olivia's class last Friday. I think I'm a pro now at snowshoeing. It did really get me thinking about skiing though and I think I really am going to try and do it next year. The girls would love it, but I just have to abandon my pride and learn how. It's just so embarrassing to have little kids kick your butt.

Jason just got back from Austin tonight. He has been working a ton and getting little sleep. He got into Austin late Wednesday night, worked all day on Thursday and a lot of the night. Went to his hotel and got up and flew home today. He didn't get to see anyone there which was too bad. I was so jealous, I wanted to go so bad. I really miss it there. Jason was so tired he got home tonight and went to bed about 6:30. We haven't hardly seen him this last week or so. He'll have to work this weekend and another long week ahead. The good news is that after next week he should be back to some normal hours.

I'm still enjoying my job and like the people I work with. I'm trying to get going with my digital scrapbooking a little more, but am slow to get it really moving along. I do really like it though.

Well, I'm going to head off to bed and read for a little bit. Isabelle get to sleep with me tonight because I promised she could. Olivia is going to go to her bed where Jason is already out.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow, but for now I better get these girls to bed.
